The best moment for teaching children to love books and to enjoy reading is when they are very young. Toddlers and preschoolers are very curious and willing to learn new things, so they are easily attracted by nice books and they even get really attached to the characters. This is one of the reasons why they ask as to read them over and over again their favorite stories and they seem to never get bored of them! 🙂 A wonderful way to keep them connected with their favorite characters but still be able to change the story and to read about various subjects is to find a book series they like! This way you will have a complete collection of stories to choose from and the child will enjoy every storytime!
If you like book series, here is a list of 8 recommendations: books that we really like and we read constantly when we go to the library! They are great book series for young children because they contain short stories and beautiful illustrations, so I’m sure that your child will love at least some of the characters on this list!
Llama Llama is a nice character that behaves exactly like a young child and the books are great for starting a conversation about sharing, having temper tantrums, feeling separation anxiety and so on. I particularly like the illustrations, they are nice and very expressive. You can find the books here.
