We are so “caught” in the holiday hassle that we often forget what Christmas is all about. We worry about decorations, gifts and food that we forget to take it slow and just enjoy the beauty and the joy of this holiday.
Christmas is much more than gift shopping and nice outfits for Christmas Eve and we should remember the things that really matter and the people we cherish the most. I wrote down some reminders we should keep in mind during this period to make us enjoy more the holidays and bring more joy to the people we love.
If you like them, I would be glad if you would share them with other people. These reminders could really make the difference in this holiday season.
What is the thing you consider the most important about Christmas?
Christmas is not about counting down the days until Christmas Eve, it’s about enjoying each and every one of them.
Christmas is not about how many cards you write, it’s about the love you put in each of them.
Christmas is not about the gifts you receive, it’s about the gifts you prepare for the loved ones and the joy they bring in their life.
Christmas is not about the stories with Santa Claus that you tell to your child, it’s about the innocence and the joy in your child’s heart.
Christmas is not about the sweets you prepare, it’s about the sweet moments you share with the people you love.
Christmas is not about the glamorous lights you see in the town, it’s about the light it brings to your heart.
Christmas is not about how many cookies you bake, it’s about the moments you stay near your loved ones and enjoy them.
Christmas is not about expensive toys you give for your child, it’s about the holiday moments you spend on the floor playing with him.
Christmas is not about how fancy your Christmas table looks, it’s about the people who sit at it and celebrate with you.
Christmas is not about how amazing you decorate your house, it’s about the warm and kindness you share inside it.
Christmas is not about all you have in your house during the holidays, it’s about all the moments that remain in your heart afterward.
