The end of the year is very close, so I gathered here some great New Year’s Eve ideas that could make the last night of the year even more wonderful. You can find 3 main categories: recipes, games and kids activities and by clicking on the links you will go to the detailed articles for each topic.

I hope you’ll enjoy this collection of ideas and you’ll try some of them this year!

New Year’s Eve ideas – Recipes

21 Top Easy New Year’s Eve Appetizers – these are some great ideas for appetizers you can easily make at home. The Baked Parmesan Tomatoes are my favorites!

Glitter Dipped Fortune Cookie Party Favors – this is a perfect recipe for the New Year’s Eve party. It’s easy to make and will certainly impress the guests.

Chocolate fruit dip – If you like chocolate (like I do :-)), you will be delighted to find out about this simple idea that is great for parties: easy to do and delicious!

New Year’s Eve Champagne Punch – The large batch punches are an easy way to impress the guests, so this recipe is certainly a must try for the party.

New Year’s Eve ideas – Games

New Year’s Eve party game – This is a game we tried last year and really enjoy, so I plan to play it again this year. Check it out, maybe you’ll like it too!

Printable New Year’s Resolution Cards – This is another nice game for New Year’s Eve and it comes with free printables, so it’s really easy to prepare.

Another wonderful idea for year-end: Printables for New Year: “My year in review” and “My list for 2017”

New Year’s Eve ideas – Kids activities

If you are spending the New Year’s Eve with your children (like we do) you will certainly enjoy these ideas. I have found a lot of great inspiration for making the night really special for the little ones and we plan to try some of them.

An idea we love: Keeping lovely memories at year-end: New Year kids interview (printable)

10 Things to Do with Kids on New Year’s Eve – I liked the idea of a photo booth, I think it brings a lot of fun and it’s a great way of gathering nice memories.

New Year’s Eve Time Capsule & Printables – This is one of my favorite ideas: a time capsule to keep memories from the past year. The time capsule jar contains some New Year’s Eve Questionnaires for every family member to fill out (the questions are about things that happened during the year), but also ticket stubs, photos and little moments from the past year. I think it’s great to have a jar for each year, they could be a great way to remember a lot of wonderful things that happened over the years.

New Year’s Eve Countdown Activity Bags – Patience is for sure not a strength kids have, so the wait until midnight can become pretty challenging as they get tired. This activity is great for keeping the kids engaged through the night and it really helps to pass the time.

This is my list of ideas for the New Year’s Eve. You can find them also on my Pinterest board and you can follow there all the new ideas I find. If you have any other ideas to share, I would be glad to find them out. 🙂

I wish you a great New Year’s Eve and a happy New Year!

Great ideas for having a party with little ones. I like the idea of bringing in the new year early (pretending it's midnight) and then sending them to bed!
