If you are looking for some of the best educational toys for toddlers, here is a list of our favorite recommendations!
I can still remember that morning. My son was a young toddler with lots of energy and a never-ending desire to discover everything around him.
As usual, he woke up early in the morning. Way too early for me! He got out of bed and went happily to his room. I followed him and I was so sleepy that I just laid on the carpet, next to him.
He looked at the toy shelves and started to pick a few toys and put them on the floor. I was expecting him to ask me to play with him and I was secretly hoping to get at least a few more minutes of rest.
But he had other plans!
He started to build a little tower of wooden blocks. Then he took out some puzzles and began to put each piece in its place. When he finished I saw that big smile on his face and I was so proud of him!
After a while, he discovered a box with magnetic train cars and he built a train on the wooden tracks in his room. I couldn’t believe that he was so quiet and focused!
He played on his own for more than an hour. I just laid there, watching him and I couldn’t believe that this was happening! It was the first time when he was playing independently for so long.
Not only that I was having the most relaxing morning in a long time but I was so glad to watch him enjoying his toys!
This was something that I wished ever since he was a baby: to offer him toys that will make him want to explore, that will challenge him to be creative and learn new things, that will encourage his independence.
