Welcome to day 2 of the Family Lockdown Fun challenge!
One easy and fun family activity
Today’s idea: Collaborative drawing
Get creative and make a collaborative drawing
This activity will help you both connect with your kids and encourage creativity.
Here are two ways to do this activity:
- Use a big piece of paper (or several pieces taped together) and invite the whole family to participate in a collaborative drawing. You can either pick a theme at the beginning or let a theme unfold while you draw.
- Make a back-and-forth drawing: One family member starts the drawing by adding a few elements on the paper, then passes it to the next family member who adds their own elements. Then everybody takes turns adding elements back and forth.
If you need inspiration for picking a theme for you collaborative drawing, here are some ideas: a family portrait, your dream vacation, a big colorful house with many rooms.
One resource that will make learning more fun
Today’s resource: Awesome audiobooks for kids
Kids everywhere can instantly stream an incredible collection of stories, including titles across six different languages.
Amazon is offering many awesome audiobooks for free, so you can find lovely stories for all ages.
One bonus idea for kids to try today
Today’s bonus idea: Story time with an astronaut
Story Time from Space
Astronauts on the International Space Station are reading stories and conducting science experiments for kids.
If you want to make story time more special today, invite your kids to listen to an astronaut reading a book to them.
Also, if your kids are curious to see how the Space Station looks like inside, here is a tour of the Orbital Laboratory posted by NASA.
Enjoy the ideas and have a wonderful day!
