Independent Play Challenge: Day 2

Welcome to day 2 of the Independent Play Challenge!

How to create inviting play spaces your kids will love

When it comes to encouraging creativity and playfulness at home, the play spaces we create for our kids play an essential role.

This is why today I’ll share with you:

  • 4 common mistakes in creating play spaces for kids and
  • the 5 characteristics of a play space your kids will want to use over and over again.

To implement the easy changes that will help you create an inviting, uncluttered, and thoughtfully designed play space for your kids, today I want to invite you to:

  • Reserve 20 minutes for today’s assignment so you can implement the changes you need right away, using the Play Space Redesign Checklist (after reading the tips in the workbook).

Please take the time to check out the daily assignments and try the ideas included in the workbooks. Because these strategies will only work for your family if you put them into practice.

I’m here to support you along the way, and I can’t wait for you to enjoy all the benefits these changes can bring to your family!

🙋 If you have any questions, please add them here in the comments and I’ll be happy to answer them!

My daughter’s play room is definitively too cluttered but honestly I hoped the more toys she has, the more she’ll want to play there. I’ll start making some changes tomorrow…

    1. I hope your daughter will enjoy the new play space!

  3. Thank you for the idea. I really need to declutter my kids toys and just have little bit of toys out. I am thinking to let my kids help me decide what to keep and what to give away

    1. I’m glad that you liked the idea! I hope your kids will enjoy the changes!

In my case, letting my son help didn’t go very well the first few time, because he had a hard time letting go of toys, even if he didn’t use them anymore. So for a while, I did all the changes while he was not around (and he always enjoyed discovering the new setups). Now, my oldest son is involved in the changes and even helps me with suggestions.
