Materials

  • LEGO bricks
  • LEGO base plate

Instructions

  • Prepare 2 small baskets including the exact same types of LEGO bricks. The easiest way to do this is to select 2 identical bricks (same size and color) and place one in each basket, and then repeat this step until you fill the baskets. (For younger kids, prepare fewer bricks to make the activity easier for them.)
  • Each player gets a basket of bricks and a base plate. The players need to sit in a way that prevents them from seeing each other’s base plates during the game.
  • Set a timer for 12 minutes. The players take turns placing a brick on their base plate and telling the other player what brick they chose and exactly where they placed it so that the other player can do the same thing.
  • The goal is for both players to have the same result at the end without seeing each other’s base plates. At the end of the 12 minutes, the players show each other what they built to see if they managed to create the same thing.
