Inside: A heartfelt letter to my son, the most wonderful little boy I ever met

My dear little boy,

In the morning, I open my eyes, and you are the first thing I see: my little boy with kind eyes and an amazing smile. You look at me, and it seems that for you seeing me is the greatest joy of all.

When we play together, you sometimes stop to look at me and tell me that you love me. I see how amazed you are when I make something new with the toys and how curious you become every time I tell you I prepared a new activity for us to try.

Through your eyes, I am so great and loveable that you make my heart melt. You see me as if I were the most wonderful mom in the world. Your love is so big and sincere that you don’t see my negative parts, you don’t judge me, and you never stop showing me how much I mean to you.

Your love is the most beautiful love I ever received, and I am so grateful for it!

I sometimes look at you and your dad, and I see the same unconditional love. I see you welcoming him when he comes back from work and your eyes are full of joy just because he is home. You look up to him and try to do everything he does just because you love him so much.

Through your eyes, we are so special!

I am so thankful for every moment I see love and admiration in your eyes because I know that this will not last forever.

One day you will be old enough to see our negative parts and judge our mistakes.

I can only hope that when that moment comes you will also know that we love you the most. That our mistakes and defects are also part of who we are. I hope you will not judge us for what we did wrong as parents or at least that you will forgive us for what we didn’t know to do better.

I want to keep in my memory the way you look at me now, the love I can read in your eyes, and the feeling that someone loves me so deeply and unconditional.

Thank you for giving me the chance to be so important in your life and to be part of your kind and warm heart!

I want you to know that you will always be part of my heart and I love you more and more every single day!

You are teaching me the most wonderful lesson about what unconditional love really means. The way you love me is the proof that love doesn’t need perfection, it only needs an open heart! And the way you look at me now makes me want to be a better person every day, hoping that over the years you will always remain so proud of me and so amazed by everything we discover together!
