Some days ago I was checking the activity calendar that I receive every month from my son’s preschool and my eyes stopped on one of the colorful boxes. It wrote “Last day of school”.
I knew that school was ending soon but seeing how soon that day was brought me a lot of emotion. Next fall my son will probably go to Transitional Kindergarten so this is the last year spent at preschool. And I feel that I am not ready for this!
Time went by so quickly and I never imagined that this day will come so soon!
My son will still go to a school picnic and to the summer school so the last day wasn’t hard to handle because he will still see his friends from school in the next weeks. But for me, that day was an important milestone as a mom.
I wanted to make this moment special for him so I prepared a little surprise for him on the last day. I bought some nice balloons and a small stuffed animal and I left them at our doorstep for him to find when he comes home.
He was so happy to find them!
To celebrate this special day I also prepared a nice interview to record his thought at the end of preschool. I am a big fan of family traditions so I really liked the idea of doing an interview at the end of every school year.

This is the first End of school interview for us but I hope that we will continue this tradition in the next years!
